“Charlie Dodge set a World Record in the ‘Double A Altered” class, attaining a speed of 162.45 miles per hour in 9:51 seconds, over a one-quarter mile measured distance at the track at Indianapolis, Indiana. An unofficial clocking over the same course, at the same track, had Dodge doing 163.05 mph in 9:40 seconds.”
