"Drag racing is a sport in which thousands of avid enthusiasts participate annually, in a variety of classes that embrace everything from stock cars to fuel-burning dragsters. Unfortunately, though certainly worthy of recognition, dragsters ususally take the lion's share of the credit when discussions are centered on the drags. But other are deserving of equal attention; the colorful gassers, roadsters and stockers all hold a prominent place in drag racing's overall interest and excitement. As a tribute to the builders and drivers of such cars, HOT ROD Magazine has reserved these pages."
