Heidi and Candy

Memories of canine siblings. 

Heidi, our beloved chocolate German Shepherd, was a staple character at the shop and at home. 

Candy was George's black German Shepherd. Confusing to me, George had several dogs over the years, naming each Candy. I often wonder how difficult it is to reminisce or clarify a particular Candy?

Talking with Al D'Agostino, he shared that his father and George mated their dogs. Al got the pick of the litter.

"I remember driving back from Malverne. I was in my Healy. The puppy was sitting next to me crying for his mother."

"My father loved anything mechanical. He would visit the shop, talk mechanics with Charlie, and German Shepherds with George."
